I hope this finds you all doing well.
I was glad to see everyone Friday. It is nice to be slowly moving about.
We are getting close to transplanting time. I have plants coming in tomorrow. With the planned rain we hope to make Saturday afternoon and Sunday our big days. I would love to see all of you who shared a desire to lend a hand. Just shoot me an email and I’ll give you our address.
The market is loaded with goodies. We have lots of mushrooms this week. Along with beets, carrots, cabbages, kohlrabi, onions, chard, kale, radishes, lettuce and more.
Taylorganic Farm has lots of pork on sale this week.
I also wanted to take some time and mention local milk options. We have a few local farms offering raw milk. Johnston’s Family Farm in Newborn has several raw milk products along with different farm made cheeses.
Rancho Alegre Farm in Gwinnett has raw milk.
Elsie’s Premium Goodness in Rockdale with raw milk.
You can contact each to see if they may fill your milk needs. There information is available on our growers page. Contact them if you have any questions.
We will be making our run to Milkyway Farm next week.
We are down to our last few hog reservations, if you are interested please don’t delay.
Remember you have at least 21 meals to plan for this week, 28+ if you include your snacks. We hope some of your selections come from our efforts. We enjoy being your farmers.
